Mary Jo (Schmidt) Brown, 62, passed away at her home. She was born on Feb. 5, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of Arthur and Olga (Schmidt) Gordon. Mary Jo was united in marriage to Lawrence J. “Larry” Brown, on Jan 20, 1960, in Middleton. She was employed as a retail clerk at Shopko and a part member St Bernard’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, 3 sons, 3 grandchildren and 2 brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carol Miller.

Ann Haberman added that they lived in the same neighborhood and were playmates growing up.
